Aventurine

Aventurine – Technically I’m a member of the Quartz family, a Silicon Dioxide mineral with a hardness of 7.  I own my name to the Italian name for a type of glass discovered in the 1700s, which I sometimes resemble. I come in 3 primary colors; green, blue and red-brown.  My green variety comes from microscopic Fuchsite particles, my red colored version is caused be Hematite and the Blue color is caused by Copper Silicates inclusions within the Quartz.  My major sources are in Brazil, India and Russia.

(Green) I’m a very positive stone of prosperity; many associate me with good luck.  I am a great absorber of electromagnetic smog and environmental pollution, so tape me to a cell phone or keep me near your computer to take advantage of my protection.  I help reinforce leadership qualities, stabilize one’s state of mind, and enhance creativity.  I can help comfort and heal the heart and bring about a feeling of general harmony.

(Blue) I’m a stone of self-discipline and inner strength; I can assist you to make clear decisions and then to stick with them.  I can also be used to help to break bad habits. I help individuals to grow up and move beyond perpetual youth into adulthood.  I can enhance psychic and intuitive abilities.

(Red) I’m a stone of vitality, creativity, sexuality, mental alertness and manifestation through actions.  I assist you to overcome the challenges in life by helping you stay determined and focused.  I increase the flow of prana or life force aiding those with low vitality and individuals recovering from illness.   

My Affirmation – (Green) I move forward with optimism, confidence and renewed vitality.  (Blue) I grow in strength and awareness form accepting responsibility and claiming my power.   (Red) I clearly see my highest path, I know I am capable of walking it, and I an committed to achieving my destiny.
