Stone Metaphysical Properties

Carnelian – Technically I'm a chalcedony with a hardness of 6.5 to 7. I was named after the Kornel cherry because of my bright color. My finest examples come from India, where exposure to sunlight enhances my color.

As my color would suggest, I powerfully activate the second chakra increasing physical energy, enhancing creativity and heightening sexuality. I'm a good stone for bringing people who are 'too spiritual' into an enjoyment and appreciation of the physical world.  I’m also a stabilizing stone that grounds and anchors. I assist my users find motivation and stimulating creativity.  I can be used to cleanse other stones.  I Clarify perception sharpen concentration; dispel mental lethargy, calms anger, and help’s one overcome abuse of any kind.
