Moonstone - Technically I am a feldspar gem consisting of a potassuim aluminum silicate with a hardness of 6 to 6.5.  I received my name due to my resemblance to the glowing Moon. I have been used in jewelry and Moon worship ceremonies for thousands of years.  I come from Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Burma, Australia, India, and the United States.

I am a feminine stone useful in bringing about emotional harmony and well being in both men and woman. I have been revered for centuries in India as a stone which can bring harmony and good fortune to marriages and love relationships.  I am said to help one relax and enjoy life, and to help one fully love & appreciate others.  A great gift item for newlyweds.
